Scot forced to isolate in English hotel runs more than 40 miles doing laps of his room

lockdown blues by running a 70km (43 miles) fundraiser in his hotel room.Chris Gordon, from West Dunbartonshire, has been cooped up in an airport hotel outside London after a work group were told to self-isolate for 14 days.Keen to put his spare time to good use, Chris vowed to run 5km-a-day - or 558 lengths of his room - to raise £2,500 for the Mental Health Foundation.Chris, 36, said: “The circumstances you find yourself in get you thinking and you constantly see about suicide rates increasing.“I’m one of the lucky ones with friends and family to call, food, wifi and can play games with my pals - but what about those who don’t have that?“As I get closer to my release date, the room gets smaller and the days get longer - for anyone.
