School rule Prince George and Princess Charlotte could break - but their friends couldn't

The Prince and Princess of Wales have always been keen for their children to have as normal a school experience as possible - but there was one special exception that made Prince George and Princess Charlotte stand out from their peers.

Before joining Lambrook School in 2022, the young royals were students at Thomas's School in Battersea. Prince George began his education there in September 2017, with Princess Charlotte following suit in September 2019.This meant that they were both attending the school during the pandemic.

Like all educational institutions, Thomas's implemented several Covid-19 safety measures to protect its students and staff and minimise the risk of virus transmission.

One significant change was that parents were asked to leave their children at the main gates instead of driving into the school premises.
