A school dinner lady has vowed to carry on working after cooking herself up a £1million National Lottery win just hours before Mother's Day.
Karen Dakin, 53, scooped her prize using her regular numbers based on the date and time of birth of her 14-year-old son Callum.
She matched five numbers and the Bonus Ball in the draw on March 13, enabling her and husband Jeff, 60, to celebrate Mother's Day in style.
Karen, of Ipswich, Suffolk, has worked throughout the pandemic, feeding the children of key workers at her local school. As she celebrated her win with champagne, she said: "I have absolutely no plans to give up being a dinner lady - I love my job, the school and all the kids."
