'Schmigadoon' Renewed for Season 2: 11 Actors Returning, 1 Is Leaving, 2 Stars Joining the Cast!

justjared.comThe Apple TV+ series Schmigadoon has been renewed for a second season and nearly all of the cast members are confirmed to return!
For those who don’t know, the first season followed a couple (Keegan-Michael Key and Cecily Strong) on a backpacking trip designed to reinvigorate their relationship when they discover a magical town in which everyone is living in a studio musical from the 1940s.
They then discover that they can’t leave until they find “true love.” The second season will follow the couple in Schmicago, the world of 60’s and 70’s musicals.
The first season was inspired by musicals like The Music Man, Carousel, and Oklahoma, while the second season sounds like it might be inspired by shows like Chicago and Cabaret.
