John Christopher Depp II (born June 9, 1963) is an American actor, singer, producer, and musician. He has been nominated for ten Golden Globe Awards, winning one for Best Actor for his performance of the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008), and has been nominated for three Academy Awards for Best Actor, among other accolades. He is regarded as one of the world's biggest film stars. Depp made his film debut in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, before rising to prominence as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). He had a supporting role in Oliver Stone's 1986 war film Platoon and played the title character in the 1990 romantic fantasy Edward Scissorhands.

Schitt’s Creek alumna Emily Hampshire is apologizing for what she admits was a really bad idea — dressing up with a friend as Johnny Depp and Amber Heard for Halloween.

On Tuesday night, Hampshire dressed as Depp with fake tattoos, a drawn-on mustache and slicked-back hair holding a bottle of wine, while her friend impersonsated a crying Heard.

She posted the photo on Instagram, captioned “Happy Halloween” flanked by two pumpkins, which she has since deleted amid a torrent of criticism on social media.

She replaced the post with her apology. “I want to address what is one of the most thoughtless, insensitive, and ignorant things I’ve ever done,” Hampshire wrote. “For Halloween, I stupidly thought it would be funny to dress as Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.
