In the trailer, Scarlett can be seen with ultra short dark curls piled on top of her head in a style closely resembling actress and singer Judy Garland.
Asteroid City is set in America in 1955.The costuming and styling also perfectly replicate the iconic trends of the decade, complete with fit and flare skirts, deadpan deliver, and plenty of over saturated colour; so far, so Wes Anderson.
Pin-up style curls were a defining hair moment of the 50s, and Judy Garland was known for having her hair tightly pinned at the sides whilst her dark curls were piled on top of her head.
