'Scared' Danniella Westbrook quizzed by armed police after admitting to stealing petrol

Danniella Westbrook was hoping for a relaxed trip to Ibiza last week following her recent breast surgery, but instead was left scared as the trip kicked off with a run-in with the authorities.The TV personality, 49, who did eventually manage to enjoy her holiday, was confronted by six police officers at passport control when arriving to the airport, admitting that she 'could have cried', when detailing the ordeal to The Mirror.The questioning came from a previous offence, the last time she was in Spain, which saw her being arrested and detained in prison for 14 hours back in 2018.

As this wasn't resolved, her details were on the system as outstanding. Explaining what had happened the last time she was there, Danniella said, "Basically I was driving up to Benidorm to see a mate of mine but I had all my cards and that stolen so I didn't have much cash on me.

So, the drive from Marbella to there is around seven and a half hours - a full tank of petrol. "Just before I got to Benidorm, I was on the border, I was literally on the red in petrol so I went into the garage and put 37 euro petrol in and I said to the guy, I don't have any money, I have my driving licence. "I said I can come back tomorrow and pay you, he was going crazy and saying, 'I'm gonna ring the police' so I just said, 'please, this is all I've got', and gave him my driving licence and a copy of my passport.

He let me go and then I completely forgot about it." Never paying the 30 euros, the offence has now led to Danniella being expected to pay between 3,000 and 3,500 euros.
