A savvy stay-at-home mum has revealed how she manages to bag a supermarket shop worth £630 for just £3. Michelle, 27, only shops using food vouchers as she and her husband rely on one household wage - saving a huge sum.

The mum-of-two, from the US, told shopping channel TLC about her thrifty spending habits in a YouTube video. She said: "I hate full price.

It needs to be with a coupon or on clearance." Michelle also saves some pennies by growing her own vegetables and tending to her own chicken coup for eggs.

And she has a massive stockpile cupboard (which was actually a spare bedroom) where she hoards 1,700 food items when buying a bulk - a key trick of the trade.
