Savvy mum finds way to stay warm for 2p per hour – it's 'cheaper than heating'

Lately, staying indoors wrapped up warm sounds much more appealing than venturing out into the chilly temperatures. When we need to warm up many of us snuggle into our beds, grab our favourite blanket or make a hot drink.

Plus, many of us take a hot shower, pop our radiators on or plug in electric heaters for extra warm. But, heating and electric bills can burn a hole in your purse - which can be especially rough when many are feeling the financial struggle in January.

Instead, a savvy mum has found a way to spend just two pence an hour on warming up. Gemma Bird, better known as Money Mum, says it is "the best money saving hack" that she has ever come up with.

The viral content creator, who has often appeared on ITV and boasts 468,000 followers on Instagram, shared: "The heating bill is crazy so we been turning off around 8pm when kids in bed but I'm sitting here cold!" Sharing on Instagram, Gemma added: "When driving I've got a heated seat in my car and I thought wow wish I had this inside.
