Savannah Brockhill, who murdered 16-month-old Star Hobson in September last year, has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 25 years.
Star's mum, Frankie Smith, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for causing or allowing the death of a child. Toddler Star died after suffering catastrophic injuries when she was beaten lifeless by Brockhill, 28, who was convicted of the toddler's murder yesterday (Tuesday).
