SATURDAY Kitchen's wine guru Olly Smith has revealed why guests never get tipsy while drinking booze during the live morning show.
Each week famous faces are treated to delicious food and drink on the BBC staple, with Olly often the man tasked with finding the perfect companion wine to go with a meal.
While guests might be encouraged to taste a variety of alcoholic beverages, you'll never see them sloshed on set. In an exclusive interview to promote Galaxy's new guide to eating chocolate the right way, Olly says: "It’s only a tiny taste really because it’s so fast you don’t have time to have any more than that." Morning time is actually widely-considered to be the best time of day for sipping wines and tasting new foods.
Olly continues: "It’s actually in the morning I find when your palate is most pristine and with Galaxy one of the things we found is between 9am and 11am when your palate is fresh is the best time to taste. "I think for a tiny taste of something, professionally, I find it a good time to taste.
