Saturday Kitchen fans fume as live show is pulled off air
ok.co.ukThe devoted followers of Saturday Kitchen were left confused this week when BBC Two decided to air a highlights reel instead of the live show.The decision upset many fans who expressed their disappointment online.This change in programming is part of a larger reshuffle made to accommodate the extensive coverage of the Paris Olympics that will take up most of the summer schedule.
Earlier on Saturday, even BBC Breakfast saw shorter airtime as hosts Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty had to step aside for the Olympic swimming events.
Instead of the usual live cooking, Saturday Kitchen aired Tastiest Treats, a montage of standout recipes from previous shows featuring celebrity chefs like Gennaro Contaldo, Nisha Katona, and Yotam Ottolenghi.
