In news that is sure to devastate fans, Sex and the City star Willie Garson has passed away at the age of 57. The actor who played Carrie’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) gay best friend Stanford Blatch had battled with cancer although it’s currently not clear if this was his cause of death.
His co-star Cynthia Nixon was among the first to express her grief at his sad passing and paid tribute to the fan favourite by posting on Instagram: ‘So deeply, deeply sad we have lost @Willie.
