Former Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding could have had an entirely different career path if she had let her nerves get the better of her.
The 39-year-old has revealed in her debut autobiography called Hear Me Out that she almost didn't audition for Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 - the show that made her a household name.
She has admitted she was "scared" about auditioning and at the thought of "making a fool of myself in front of millions of TV viewers".
But thanks to an ex-boyfriend she was finally convinced to take the plunge just the night before she was due to audition in Manchester and eventually landed a spot in the massively successful girl band.
