Sara Bareilles on Thursday announced she was diagnosed with coronavirus weeks ago, but had since made a full recovery. The singer talked about her experience with the virus, which is now a worldwide pandemic, and she stressed the importance of social distancing during an Instagram Live video.

Sara Bareilles took to social media on Thursday (April 2) to reveal that she had COVID-19, and has fully recovered from the viral illness."Hi friends, I'm socially distance walking...just had therapy. Just wanted to check in," the singer-songwriter began a video posted to her Instagram Stories.

The singer had not previously revealed her diagnosis before this. “I had it, just so you know,” she said on her Instagram Story. “I’m fully recovered, just so you know. I am just thinking about all the people walking through this really tricky time and sending a lot of love and just being really grateful for every easy breath and every day I get to be walking around.”
