The Blind Side actress, 59, cared for her partner alongside a team of nurses and their three children. Sandra went through a tough period after breaking up with her previous husband, before losing the man she called the 'love of her life'.
In a statement to People Magazine, Bryan's family confirmed that he passed away over the weekend after a secret three-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.The Mirror reports that Sandra's sister Gesine Bullock-Brado praised her sibling for the 'amazing' way she cared for her late partner in a tribute on Instagram. "ALS is a cruel disease," she wrote, "but there is some comfort in knowing he had the best of caretakers in my amazing sister and the band of nurses she assembled who helped her look after him in their home.""I'm convinced that Bry has found the best fishing spot in heaven and is already casting his lure into rushing rivers teaming [sic] with salmon."Bryan and Sandra first met in 2015 after he was hired to photograph her son Louis' birthday party.
The couple swiftly fell in love, creating their blended family with Louis and Bryan's daughter Skylar from a previous relationship.
