The TV star, 56, who married her partner of six years last month, has spoken about her relief to be told the 10mm growth removed from her throat was a benign polyp.
Sam told The Sun: “I really cried a lot. I’m such a positive person but it’s hard when you’ve got something like that hanging over you.
I was very fearful.” Sam lost her manager and ex-fiancée Myra Stratton in August 2015 after a cancer battle and she spoke out about how the experience brought it all back. “It felt very close to home, because I cared for Myra for so long after she was diagnosed with cancer in 2013.
