Salma Hayek told doctors she’d ‘rather die at home’ during near-fatal COVID battle

Salma Hayek has shared that she went through her own battle with COVID-19 in the early months of the pandemic. It was so bad in fact, she told doctors that she would prefer to ‘die at home’.

Her struggle with the killer virus got to the point that the actress was put on oxygen and spent about seven weeks isolated in a room of her house.

The Mexican actress currently lives in London with her French husband, François Henri Pinault, and their 13-year-old daughter Valentina.

She explained that things got to the point where her doctors were urging her to go to the hospital. ‘My doctor begged me to go to the hospital because it was so bad,’ she told Variety. ‘I said, “No, thank you.
