Salford are confident of having Andy Ackers available to face Leigh on Friday evening and will tonight appeal the suspension to hand him a one-game ban.
The hooker was charged with a Grade B tripping offence by the Match Review Panel, but the offence was penalised as a ruck infringement by on-field referee Ben Thaler and coach Richard Marshall believes the club have strong grounds to have the suspension dismissed.
