Salford public health boss makes public plea as borough's infection rates spike

The city has now moved onto the list of the ten areas in the country with the highest transmission rates after figures rose by a massive 191 percent in the last week.

In response, Dr Muna Abdel Aziz, director of public health at Salford City Council, has warned that both schools and hospitals in the borough are likely to be impacted in the coming weeks.
