A double glazing salesman who strangled his girlfriend to death in an 'uncontrollable explosion' of rage has been jailed for life.
Benjamin Bowler was convicted of murder today after a jury heard how he throttled mum-of-one Kelly Price during a drink and drugs fuelled row at their flat in Gillingham, Kent.
The 41-year-old, described as jealous and controlling, will have to serve a minimum term of 17 years before he can be considered for parole.
Although Bowler maintained he did not mean to kill or cause serious harm to his partner of almost four years, he admitted he had squeezed her throat the night he killed her.
