A Sainsbury's shopper was left furious after being told to 'cover her hot pants' after a male customer complained they were too short.

Lauren O'Connor, 33, was shopping at the Staines supermarket branch when she says a staff member approached her and told her to pull down her T-shirt over her shorts.

Despite temperatures reaching a scorching 32C as she shopped yesterday, the PR manager said the member of staff went on to tell her a complaint had been made about her outfit.
