Safiyya Vorajee says Mother's Day 'brings so much pain' after daughter Azaylia's death

Saifyya Vorajee has voiced the unbearable “pain” she has gone through in the lead up to Mother’s Day after losing daughter Azaylia Cain tragically to cancer last April.

Azaylia suffered acute myeloid leukaemia and died at just eight months old following a brave battle against the disease after being diagnosed at eight weeks.

Safiyya has been candid about the difficulty she has had in dealing with the death of her daughter, whom she shared with Ex on the Beach star Ashley Cain, particularly now as Mother’s Day approaches.

You can sign up at the top of the page.Talking of how she was in “tears” visiting shops ahead of Sunday, Safiyya wrote on Instagram Stories: “Scrolling through my Insta walking past shops hearing people talking about Mother’s Day brings so much pain to my body. "Yesterday I just went to buy some aloe vera gel & couldn't hold back the tears in a shop. "When times like this are approaching I end up feeling really uncomfortable.” Reflecting on her precious time spent with daughter Azaylia on the celebratory day twelve months ago, Safiyya added: "I had the best Mothers Day last year with my princess. "I miss you so much even though I may be trying to carry on in this world I feel like my world is smashed to pieces".The mourning mum reposted a message reminding followers that there are people who will be struggling like her with Mother’s Day, and that they should be thought of especially on Sunday. "Please don't forget the Mothers with empty arms this Mothering Sunday,” the message read.
