Sadio Mane lived up to his heartfelt promise to a Liverpool fan as he pointed to the sky during the Reds' emphatic 7-0 victory at Crystal Palace.
Mane grabbed a goal and an assist before he was substituted for Mohamed Salah in the 57th minute at Selhurst Park. While the Senegalese was visibly unhappy to be withdrawn from the action, as he departed the pitch he remembered a celebration he had vowed to perform.
Mane kissed his finger and pointed to the sky, just as food bank volunteer and Liverpool fan Lee Swan had shown him on a video call in late November.
