Sadie Sink Felt 'Empowered' After Chopping Off Her Long Red Hair

The 21-year-old Stranger Things star rocked a pair of overalls while out with a friend around the SoHo neighborhood of the city on Monday afternoon (August 21). Sadie and her guy friend were seen taking the subway to the downtown area, and grabbing a bite to eat together for a leisurely day out.
Just recently, Sadie opened up about cutting her long red hair into a shorter style, and how she felt afterwards. “I never really thought about cutting my hair in my own life,” she admitted to Refinery29. “‘It never crossed my mind to do something like that.
But once it happened, I felt very empowered by it.” Sadie added that since everyone knew her “with long hair.
It was always such a talking point; my hair was a very defining feature for me. So to get rid of that — especially just turning 21 and stepping into adulthood — that big change felt really exciting.” She first chopped it off for a role, Sadie admits it was “also right for where I [am] in my own life.
