American singer Sabrina Carpenter has announced she will perform a second date in Manchester next year. The musician, known for singles including Espresso and Please Please Please, unveiled plans to bring her successful Short 'N Sweet tour over to the UK and Ireland last week.

The original five dates included shows in London, Dublin, Birmingham, Glasgow and at Manchester's Co-op Live on March 13. Following 'phenomenal demand' during this week's number of pre-sales for the shows, the singer has confirmed a second Co-op Live show to take place on March 14.

General sale for tickets will begin via Ticketmaster at 10am on Friday (July 26). The singer will be joined by support on all dates by English musician Rachel Chinouriri. Sharing their excitement for the new Manchester date, one fan said: "THANK GOD." Another said: "I WANTED A FRIDAY TO BEGIN WITH." Fans trying to get early tickets to the series of shows through this week's pre-sales took to social media to share their frustration at the number of different sale opportunities, as well as the cost of tickets.
