Ryanair stopped Brits flying home to Spain 'in mix-up over time difference'

For the latest news from in and around Oldham sign up to the MyOldham newsletter here A couple say they were prevented from catching a Ryanair flight in a covid test mix-up after staff 'couldn't get their heads round European time difference' Mark and Zoe Ryder say they had to fork out almost £500 for new flights, tests and car hire following the mistake.

Under current lockdown rules anyone catching a flight to Spain has to have a negative coronavirus test within 72 hours of arrival.

Mr and Mrs Ryder, Spanish residents who are originally from Oldham, returned to the UK earlier this month for the funeral of a close friend.
