The 44-year-old actor took to social media shortly after it was announced that the Jeopardy! host had died. “Alex Trebek was kind enough to film a cameo for our film Free Guy last year despite his battle,” Ryan wrote. “He was gracious and funny.
In addition to being curious, stalwart, generous, reassuring and of course, Canadian.” He added, “We love you, Alex. And always will.” Alex appears in the latest trailer for Free Guy, reading a clue about Ryan‘s character on Jeopardy! “This character in the video game Free City has been turning by being the good guy,” he’s seen saying.
