Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa & Aubrey Plaza Cast in Live Action & Animation Hybrid Movie 'Animal Friends'

Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, and Aubrey Plaza lead the all-star cast in Animal Friends, a hybrid live-action and animated movie.

Emmy-winning director Peter Atencio will direct the movie, described as an “R-rated road trip adventure,” per Deadline.

The movie came from a meeting between writer duo Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider, and Patrick Gooing, an executive at Ryan Reynolds‘ production company, Maximum Effort. Keep reading to find out more… Burrows and Mider are writing the script for the film. Atencio directed the sketch comedy series Key & Peele. Vince Vaughn has also been cast in the film. Ryan Reynolds recently appeared in the holiday musical comedy Spirited.

He is currently getting ready to work on Deadpool 3. Jason Momoa just made his Fast & Furious debut in the trailer for the upcoming installment in the franchise – Fast X. Aubrey Plaza was also cast in The WandaVision spinoff series Agatha: Coven of Chaos, an upcoming Marvel series, set to arrive on Disney+ in 2023.
