The Hibs stopper was given his marching orders during his side’s 2-1 defeat against the champions at Ibrox on Sunday. But the Easter Road side appealed the decision in the hope Nick Walsh’s decision would be overturned.
However, it was booted out by the SFA and Porteous will now miss next two Scottish Premiership games at home to Dundee United and away to Aberdeen.
