Ryan and his wife Eva Mendes have been happily married for over ten years, but they like to let each other shine solo at events.

For the 96th Academy Awards, Eva ditched the red carpet as Ryan instead walked with sister Mandi. Instead, Eva showed her support for her hubby from backstage, sharing a sweet Instagram post captioned: "Always by my man." The couple, who first met on the set of their film The Place Beyond the Pines, haven't walked a red carpet together since 2012.

Eva also explained last year why she wouldn't be joining Ryan, who she has two daughters, Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 7, with, on the red carpet for the Barbie press tour.
