Rutherglen MSP Clare Haughey has praised the work of local credit unions, following an event at the Scottish Parliament where she caught up with Rutherglen-based 1 st Class Credit Union.
The credit union sector has seen significant growth during the ongoing cost of living crisis, in part driven by the closure of local banking services.Credit unions enable their members to have ready access to face-to-face financial services and advice within their local community.
