Ruth Negga has quickly cemented her place as a red carpet darling and there is one label that knows that better than anyone.

The Irish actress can rock Alexander McQueen like no other and she proved that once again over the weekend in New York. The Academy Award nominee walked the red carpet for her upcoming Netflix film, Passing, in a leather coat dress from the British fashion label.

The statement number featured a large belt that pulled the dress in at the waist. She added a pair of red boots to the look which she offset with a deep berry lip.

Her raven locks were piled at the top of her head into an intricate braided bun while she sported a new blunt fringe. She forewent any jewellery as she walked the carpet alongside Tessa Thompson.
