Loose Women star Ruth Langsford has shared her heartbreaking daily routine of waving at her mum Joan through the window. The panellist went on a walk and took to Instagram to say it’s ‘better than nothing’.

Her routine followed government advice the elderly should self-isolate for 12 weeks at home amid the coronavirus pandemic. She told fans: ‘So I’ve just walked around to see my mum.

When I say see her, I mean wave at her through the window which is better than nothing. ‘She’s fine… Hope you’re all staying in and staying safe, see you soon!’ The star told fans to stay during these tough times.

Her caption read: ‘What a beautiful day it’s been….surreal really considering the devastation that Covid19 is causing. Hope you’re all keeping safe.
