Russell Brand’s production company has posted a profit of £5million ($6.35m) in the last tax year, which finished at the end of 2022, nine months before he faced multiple allegations concerning historic sexual assault offences.
The Times newspaper reported that Pablo Diablo’s Legitimate Business Firm, which runs Brand’s productions and live events, saw profits grow 20 per cent in 2022, including £4.8m ($6.1m) in cash.
Records showed that Brand, as sole director of the company, donated £125,000 ($158,700) to the Stay Free Foundation for recovering addicts.
Brand continues to be the subject of various investigations for allegations of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse. He was the subject of a joint investigation by The Times and Sunday Times newspapers and Channel 4’s Dispatches team, and has been twice interviewed by London’s Metropolitan Police.
