Russell Brand is reflecting on his marriage to Katy Perry. If you recall, the two were married briefly in 2010 after getting engaged at the end of 2009 after a few months of dating.

Less than a year later though, Katy and Russell announced they were splitting. During his appearance on Running Wild With Bear Grylls: The Challenge, Russell opened up about the relationship, calling it “chaotic”. Keep reading to find out more… “Aside from my, like, sort of feelings of affection for Katy, it’s a time that I remember as being a little bit chaotic and a bit, for me, I’ll speak for myself, a little disconnected,” her shared with host Bear Grylls on the episode over the weekend. Russell did note that he was with Katy at a time in his life and career where it was at its’ peak. “Some aspects of it were, like, amazing,” he added. “She’s an amazing person, and it was kind of incredible to live for a moment in that ‘eye of the cyclone’ type aspect of fame.” In a 2020 interview, Katy echoed Russell‘s comments, comparing their whirlwind romance to a tornado.
