UK media regulator Ofcom has received more than 100 complaints from viewers who felt that Channel 4’s bombshell expose on Russell Brand was “unfair” to the comedian.

Channel 4’s Dispatches film broadcast on Saturday night at 9PM and carried accusations from four women who said they were sexually assaulted by Brand at the height of his fame.

Russell Brand: In Plain Sight prompted 134 complaints to Ofcom. “The majority of complainants felt the programme was unfair to Russell Brand,” the media regulator said.

Brand has strongly denied criminal wrongdoing. He said Channel 4, The Times, and The Sunday Times’ investigation into his alleged behavior was part of a “mainstream media” conspiracy to silence him.
