Laura Derbyshire had to tell her family she had been diagnosed with cancer from the end of a driveway while remaining socially distanced during lockdown.
But from that heartbreaking moment she survived a tough journey - thanks to the NHS and running. Now she is taking on a marathon challenge to help a charity which supported her through her treatment.
Laura, from Salford, is tackling the Manchester Half Marathon on October 9 despite only taking up running while undergoing radiotherapy.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Laura is keen to share her story to encourage others to look out for the signs of breast cancer.
