A new Rudy's Pizza restaurant could be opening in Didsbury at the site of a former food hall. Bosses at the beloved pizzeria have filed a licensing application for the Mad Giant food hall on Wilmslow Road.
If approved, the Rudy’s venue is expected to seat more than 90 guests and could be open from 11am until midnight daily. The Didsbury food and drink hall shut down in October 2020 after its owners said they were 'left with no choice' but to close due to the ongoing impact of the pandemic.
In the years prior to the food hall revamp, the venue was home to tapas bar La Cantina and Cafe Rouge. If the go ahead is given, the Didsbury restaurant would be Rudy’s fifth Manchester location following pizzerias in Ancoats, the city centre, Sale and most recently Chorlton.
