RTÉ seek to emulate Love/Hate success with new crime drama Kin

evoke.ieLove/Hate was a roaring success and indisputably one of the most popular crime dramas ever aired on RTÉ, and the network hopes that their upcoming series will be just as gripping.
The eight-part series titled Kin is reported to be inspired in part by the events of the notorious Dublin Kinahan mob. Kin will tell the story of a fictional family of Dublin gangsters and the not-so-legal day-to-day activities they get up.
The series will also show them going to war with members of other rival gangs. Although the series is not based on the Kinahan’s, it is believed some of the events in the show will be inspired by them.
