Watched by a sizeable contingent of officers from Greater Manchester Police, video shared on social media showed the Dutch supporters letting off fireworks and dancing wildly as they chanted 'let's go f***ing mental' in English.
As has become customary for away supporters visiting Manchester for big European fixtures, the fans marched to the Etihad stadium after they had spent the afternoon enjoying the city's hostelries.
They celebrated again, with their side scoring three in the final minutes to earn a barely conceivable draw in the Champions League to inflict more misery on Pep Guardiola's men who are on a wretched run of five defeats and last night's draw in their last six games.
