Ross Stewart faces Sunderland injury blow as ex-Ross County striker sidelined before debut
dailyrecord.co.ukSunderland.The big striker arrived from Ross County in a £300,000 deal last month.Stewart arrived with a slight hamstring issue and Black Cats boss Lee Johnson confirmed he has suffered a minor complication.Johnson, speaking on his club’s website, said: "Ross has had what we expect to be a brief setback.“It may be around a week to 10 days.“He slipped in a rehabilitation drill with the physio, and felt tightness for the first time in two to three weeks.”The 24-year-old netted six times for the Staggies this term as they attempt to achieve Premiership survival.However, a knock picked up against Celtic on December 23 has kept him on the sidelines.Stewart spent two and a half years in Dingwall in total and scored 28 goals in 82 appearances for.
