Ronan Keating has quit Magic FM after seven years presenting the breakfast show alongside Harriet Scott. Speaking on Thursday (6 June) morning's instalment of the radio show, the singer began: "I've had a hell of a time, it is time for me to hang up my headphones," before confirming his last day isn't until the end of July.
He continued: "I've had the best time. I've learnt so much. I will miss you all." Getting emotional, Ronan told co-host Harriet "I don't know if I can read any of them" when she told him they'd received a flood of messages from listeners.
One fan said: "Magic FM radio breakfast won't be the same! I'm a huge Boyzone and Ronan Keating fan! Good luck with what's next and enjoy family mornings you will be missed in my morning chaos!!!" Ronan has been taking to the Magic airwaves from 6 am to 10 am on weekday mornings since September 2017.
Before the show today, Ronan teased the news as he shared to his Instagram Stories: "TUNE INTO @MAGICFM NOW. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT." The news comes after Ronan shared a cryptic post about his wife Storm Keating, whilst showcasing a tattoo tribute to her.
