Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster were dressed up to the nines as the Maggie May rocker was honoured earlier this week for his contributions to Scotland.The 79-year-old attended the lavish event at a formal banquet in Blair Castle in Perthshire on Monday night to mark his part in Scotland's whisky industry where he was honoured by the Keepers of the Quaich.Sir Rod, who has his own whisky brand called Wolfie’s, was dressed in a smart black and white suit and bow tie.

His wife Penny looked stunning in a striking red dress, proudly stood alongside her husband, who was made an Honorary Keeper of the Quaich.Penny shared some snippets from the evening, including some photos from the event and the breathtaking Scottish venue. "What a night," she wrote alongside the snaps which she shared with her 202k Instagram followers.Penny also shared a third snap of herself posing on the grand staircase after the celebrations, in a sultry black and white photo as the ex-model displayed her toned legs with a pair of slider slippers on after the bash.The music legend joins an illustrious group of people who have been bestowed with the honour including King Charles, the late US President Ronald Reagan and Outlander author Diana Gabaldon.The award – named after the shallow two-handled cup which whisky was traditionally drank from – has been described as the equivalent of a knighthood in the world of whisky.
