Robin Wright will be feted at this year’s Monte-Carlo Television Festival. She will receive the Festival’s Crystal Nymph Award, which is bestowed for career achievements and creating a lasting impact on the TV industry.
Rising to fame for her role as Buttercup in The Princess Bride, Wright’s on-screen work includes roles in Forrest Gump and House of Cards.
Her portrayal of Claire Underwood in the Netflix series won her a Golden Globe and multiple Emmy Award noms. Wright’s recently announced projects include The Girlfriend for Prime Video.
Wright also directs and produces. In TV she has directed episodes of series including Ozark and Tell Me Lies. She will be in Monte-Carlo in June to receive the award, which is given during the Monte-Carlo Television Festival’s closing ceremony. “I’ve had the chance to live an incredible career in television and I am deeply honored to receive this distinction,” Wright said: “I’m really looking forward to coming to Monte-Carlo in June to share this moment with those who, like me, love and respect the work we do.” Wright joins a roster of recent U.S.
