Robin Parkinson dead – 'Allo 'Allo! star dies peacefully aged 92 by wife’s side

'Allo 'Allo star Robin Parkinson has died at age 92.The esteemed comedian and actor passed peacefully with his family by his side.

A statement issued on behalf of his devastated family said: "Robin Parkinson, actor, known for 'Allo 'Allo and as the voice of Button Moon, has died peacefully at the age of 92 with his wife and daughters by his side." The 92 year old rose to stardom in the 70s and 80s securing a place as a regular on TV screens.

Robin was most known for his role as Monsieur Ernest Leclerc who first appeared in series seven of the sitcom 'Allo 'Allo. The actor appeared in a variety of popular TV series in the 70s and 80s, the most notable being Girls About Town, The Many Wives of Patrick, The Young Ones and Rising Damp.

Robin, originally from Coventry, went on to reprise his fan favourite role as Monsieur Ernst Leclerc on the West End Stage and toured Australia in the 1990s.
