The 84-year-old actor and filmmaker released a statement after news broke that James had passed away at the age of 58. “The grief is immeasurable with the loss of a child,” Cindi Berger, Robert‘s rep, shared with People.
She added that “Jamie was a loving son, husband and father. His legacy lives on through his children, art, filmmaking and devoted passion to conservation and the environment.” James‘s passing was announced by his wife, Kyle, who added that he passed away after a battle with bile-duct cancer in his liver.
