The Batman starring Robert Pattinson has been pushed back until 2022 by Warner Bros. The comic book film from director Matt Reeves had been due for release on June 25, 2021, but was pushed back earlier this year until October 1, 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Now following a spate of recent delays to film releases including James Bond film No Time To Die, Warner Bros has delayed sci-fi epic Dune from December this year until the previous October slot that The Batman occupied.

The Batman will now be released in cinemas on March 4, 2022. Production has been filming in London and is due to film in Chicago, Illinois, having resumed in September following a shut down in March due to the pandemic.
