Stepping out: Robert De Niro, who won Oscars for his roles in The Godfather Part II and Raging Bull, turned 79 years old on Wednesday when he was spotted out in New YorkHis latest sighting comes amid news that he is reuniting with GoodFellas co-writer Nicholas Pileggi on a film called Wise Guys - where he is taking on a dual role.Pileggi wrote the original nonfiction book Wiseguys in 1985, and then co-wrote GoodFellas as its 1990 film adaptation, which was directed by Martin Scorsese.
A few years later, Scorsese and Pileggi teamed up again on the 1995 movie Casino, which also starred De Niro and became an instant classic.
Despite sharing its name with the book that formed the basis of GoodFellas, the upcoming movie Wise Guys will evidently not return to the story of Henry Hill, the real-life gangster at the center of that movie.
