Robbie Neilson in John Souttar Hearts transfer update as 'hopeful' boss doubles down on January stance

Defiant Robbie Neilson has refused to give up hope John Souttar will stay at Tynecastle beyond the summer. And he has doubled down on his stance that it will take a "crazy bid" for Hearts to sell him this month.

Souttar has been targeted by Rangers as well as clubs down south and it's believed he is closing in on a pre-contract Ibrox deal.

Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield United also made offers and it has been reported Souttar would rather move in January if he does sign for someone this month.

Hearts head coach Neilson has insisted they won’t sell him cheaply especially when they are trying to seal third spot and a lucrative Europa League spot.
